After their collabration with CXS in Singapore and Malaysia, they see the potential for a Southest Asia expansion, and bring in the ESPOS payment devices. Soon enough, ePayments in ESPOS office is also considered as another advancement for cashless solutions.

Challenge

Due to the collaboration with CXS Singapore and Malaysia, and ESPOS’ expansion to the Southeast Asia region, ESPOS started to think more about Cashless solutions.

However, in order to build a proper Cashless solution, they would have to hire an extremely expensive team of programmers in Norway.

Hearing good things about Orient Software through their partner CXS, ESPOS came to us for a team of experts in May.

The biggest problem was ESPOS understood what they wanted, but they had no technical plan for the development of the ePayments system.

Understanding clearly what the challenge was and working together with the ESPOS team, Orient Software formed an expert team with enough knowledge and experience to develop an ePayments system with all the requirements, applying all the correct and advanced technologies.

Solution

Responding to our request, Orient Software gathered a dedicated team of experts to develop an online payment system for ESPOS in May 2018 using the following technologies: Net Core, Entity Framework Core, SQL Server Database, Web: Blazor, Razor Pages, Web services: Web API, gRPC, Mobile: Flutter.

The goal of the project is to develop both the online payment system and the E-Wallet system to fit the users’ needs.

    The online payment system:
  • Using ESPOS cards in order to pay for beverage at vending machines in schools or universities
  • ESPOS cards are able to be integrated into Espos payment accounts easily
  • ESPOS payment accounts can be recharged with Visa, Master Card (supported by Netaxept & Vipps)

Impact

This is a great boost to the Southeast Asia expansion.

The prototype model (MVP) received a lot of positive feedback and helped increase investment for ESPOS.

Orient Software helped ESPOS with not only the technical aspect of the project, but also the geographical elements of ESPOS’ expansion to Southeast Asia.

More improvement is planned to be implemented based on the feedback on the prototype model of DiggiPay.
