Senior Automation Quality Engineer (Australian Project)

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, create, and execute C# automated test cases for back end microservices and monolith code and also Cypress/Playwright end to end tests.
• Create functional testing in automated tests, including unit testing, API testing, integration testing, system testing, end-to-end testing, regression tests, etc.
• Perform manual testing and carry out non-functional testing such as performance testing, resilience testing, security testing.
• Collaborate with developers, BAs, and scrum teams to ensure thorough understanding and coverage of testing requirements.
• Identify, log, and track defects, working closely with developers and team to resolve issues.
• Code review and educate developers to create good automated tests.
• Collaborate closely as part of the development team by providing a client viewpoint.
• Actively participate in sprint planning and other Agile ceremonies, providing insights and guidance into quality and testing progress.
• Research new technologies available and its proper application; make suggestions/contributions for the improvement of software testing/quality/delivery.
• Lead quality and quality automation in the scrum team(s) and raise the quality bar.

Requirements

Must have:

• Can write code and automated tests, can review PRs from developers and other QEs, and discuss with developers the issues in the code.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Can create detailed test cases with good test coverage in Test Management Tool.
• Solid Experience with API testing, unit testing, integration testing, end to end testing.
• A willingness to do manual testing for good test coverage.
• Experience with SQL databases and be able to write SQL script.
• Good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) especially in Agile environments.
• A confident and dynamic attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Mentor team members and experience with leading team members.
• Be a fast learner

Nice to have:

• Experience with understanding complicated software systems, microservice architecture, monolith code.
• Experience with event driven architecture such as Kafka, service bus.
• Experience with Non-functional testing such as Performance testing, Resilience testing, Security testing.
• Experience with APM tools such as Datadog.
• Experience with CI/CD, Azure DevOps.
• A willingness to learn and adopt new automation technologies.
