As a Research and Development Manager (R&D Manager), you will lead a team of engineers and professionals which focus on innovation, quality improvement, and solving complex technical challenges. Your role is to align R&D initiatives with business goals, to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet high standards of quality and performance.
Responsibilities
- Proactively research, update, and evaluate new technologies and technical trends; propose their applicability in alignment with the company’s strategic direction.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of R&D projects, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and objectives are met.
- Ensure that R&D initiatives align with market trends, customer needs, and the company’s strategic goals.
- Leverage technical expertise to provide guidance and support to development team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and problem solving.
- Explore and integrate cutting-edge technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, and Data Analytics in software development and product improvement.
- Manage and optimize the shared engineering resource pool to support various project demands, ensuring efficient workload distribution and skill development.
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments and teams to drive continuous improvement.
- Encourage continuous learning and stay updated with the latest scientific and technological advancements to ensure the team operates at the cutting edge of the industry.
- Manage the R&D Budget and allocate resources effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in R&D in a software company,, with a minimum of 3 years as management role.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Innovative mindset with a passion for technology and continuous improvement.
- Practical experience in applying advanced technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, Cloud, or IoT is a strong plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and people management abilities; proven experience in building, mentoring, and motivating teams.
