We are looking for a strong technical leader to drive AI adoption and shape the organization’s technology evolution.

This role sits at the intersection of:

  • Hands-on technical leadership (Architect/Principal level)
  • R&D and innovation execution
  • AI-driven transformation of engineering practices and ways of working

You will lead a high-caliber team and partner closely with senior leadership to:

  • Translate AI and emerging technologies into scalable engineering capabilities and tangible business outcomes
  • Elevate how engineering teams build, learn, and deliver through AI-enabled practices
  • Drive pragmatic, outcome-focused innovation that goes beyond experimentation

What You Will Do

1. AI Strategy & Adoption

  • Identify and drive high-impact AI use cases in software development and business processes
  • Lead adoption of AI tools (e.g., coding assistants, automation, data-driven development) across teams
  • Evaluate emerging AI/ML technologies and define practical adoption strategies
  • Translate AI capabilities into measurable productivity and quality improvements

2. R&D Leadership & Innovation Delivery

  • Drive end-to-end R&D initiatives, transforming ideas from research and experimentation into scalable, real-world solutions.
  • Ensure R&D projects are aligned with business goals and deliver tangible outcomes
  • Explore and integrate technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, Data, Cloud into products and engineering workflows
  • Balance innovation and execution — turning ideas into production-ready solutions

3. Technical Leadership

  • Act as a Solution Architect/Principal Engineer-level contributor when needed
  • Provide technical guidance on architecture, system design, and modern engineering practices
  • Support teams in solving complex technical challenges
  • Set a high bar for engineering quality, scalability, and maintainability

4. Engineering Excellence & Capability Building

  • Develop and grow engineers into Tech Leads/Solution Architects
  • Contribute to building learning pathways, mentoring, and capability development programs
  • Promote best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement culture
  • Encourage adoption of modern tools, frameworks, and engineering standards

5. Resource & Team Leadership

  • Build and lead a small, high-performing engineering team
  • Manage and optimize shared engineering resources across R&D initiatives
  • Identify capability gaps and drive hiring, upskilling, and reskilling plans
  • Ensure effective allocation of talent to maximize impact

6. Cross-functional & Strategic Collaboration

  • Work closely with Engineering, Product, and Business stakeholders
  • Act as a bridge between technical innovation and business needs
  • Contribute to shaping technology direction and innovation priorities
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Who We Are Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong track record in roles such as AI Engineering Lead, Solution Architect, Principal Engineer, or Engineering Manager
  • Deep expertise in software architecture, system design, and modern engineering practices
  • Proven experience leading complex technical initiatives, platform-level projects, or R&D programs
  • Hands-on experience or strong exposure to AI, Machine Learning, data-driven systems, with the ability to apply them in practical engineering contexts
  • Ability to operate across levels, from hands-on problem solving to technical leadership and strategic direction
  • Strong ownership mindset, proactive, self-driven, and able to lead initiatives independently
  • Curious and forward-looking, continuously exploring emerging technologies and industry trends
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
  • Big-picture thinking, able to connect technical decisions with business outcomes
  • Collaborative and influential, able to work across teams, challenge ideas constructively, and drive alignment

Nice to have

  • Experience applying AI tools in software development workflows (e.g., productivity, automation, code generation)
  • Background in Cloud platforms, Data Platforms, or scalable distributed systems
  • Experience building or contributing to engineering capability frameworks, training programs, or internal upskilling initiatives
  • Proven track record of driving technology adoption, innovation, or transformation initiatives within an organization
