Responsibilities

  • Creating, continually improving and running project’s DevOps applications.
  • Building and running CI/CD Pipelines for development teams.
  • Configuring and continually improving tooling related to DevOps e.g. Azure DevOps, Octopus, Automation Libraries.
  • Managing the expectations of stakeholders within IT including the Infrastructure Team, Security Operations and Tribes.
  • Improving tooling and processes to enable a move away from fortnightly releases and towards intra-day CI/CD.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ extensive experience of DevOps or Cloud Engineer across all Phases of the software lifecycle Experienced in Azure or AWS cloud technologies;
  • Azure Expertise (Mandatory): Extensive experience architecting, deploying, and managing complex services within Microsoft Azure. Deep familiarity with core Azure services (VMs, Networking, App Services, Databases).
  • Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Proven expertise with Terraform or strong proficiency with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) for defining and provisioning infrastructure.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Development: Expert-level experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD processes, preferably using Azure DevOps Pipelines or related tools.
  • Container Orchestration: Hands-on experience with Docker and a productionlevel understanding of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Java Ecosystem Understanding: Ability to configure, deploy, and troubleshoot applications built on the Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
  • Scripting & Automation: Strong proficiency in scripting languages for automation, such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Monitoring & Logging: Experience configuring centralized logging and monitoring solutions within Azure.
